The Parent & Family Association and the Office of Parent & Family Giving are dedicated to serving the spectrum of parent needs at UCLA. Here you will find information about opportunities to engage with both of these resources just for Bruin families.
Parent & Family Giving
UCLA Parent & Family Giving offers you an opportunity to show pride in your Bruin and enhance the overall student experience by supporting any area across campus. Gifts can be designated for the UCLA Parents Fund, or for a specific academic department, campus resource, student club, and more.

Every gift makes a difference, and when parents come together, your collective contributions have a huge impact. Last year, current families contributed more than $3 million! By giving to UCLA, you can help bridge the gap between tuition and state support — which only covers a portion of the cost to fully educate a student. To make a gift online, click here. The UCLA Chancellor’s Society recognizes donors who are able to go above and beyond. These leadership donors support UCLA with an annual gift of $1,000+. Learn more by visiting: https://chancellorssociety.ucla.edu/parents/
Why Parents Give
“We are so happy that our daughter chose to attend UCLA and are grateful to be part of the UCLA family. Giving back to the community has always been important to us. So when we met Vanessa at UCLA Parent and Family Giving and heard about the many ways they help UCLA students, we decided to lend our support. There is no greater gift than the satisfaction that comes from helping someone else. Bruins helping Bruins!”
– Jacqueline & Andrew Stevens, Parents 2026

Parent & Family Association
The Parent & Family Association (PFA), housed within the UCLA Alumni Association, is committed to helping parents and families support their student’s journey at UCLA and create their own Bruin experience along the way. Bruin Family Insights Podcast
Bruin Family Insights, the official PFA podcast, aims to equip families with knowledge to help you get to know UCLA better, and encourage your student to thrive during their time at UCLA and beyond. In each episode, we explore the ins-and-outs of UCLA through the eyes of those who know this journey best: staff, faculty, students, alumni and – of course – Bruin parents themselves.
Volunteer Opportunities
PFA volunteers welcome students and families to campus, provide assistance with University initiatives and support the program’s efforts. Volunteer participation is unquestionably vital to the success of UCLA programs and events throughout the year. You don’t have to live in Los Angeles to make a difference; parent and family volunteers come from all over the world! Learn more about becoming a parent volunteer here and consider applying for the 2024-25 UCLA Parents’ Council when the application opens in April 2024.

Parent Testimonial
“As a First Generation Bruin alum, there is a unique sense of pride that comes with experiencing UCLA as a Bruin parent. We feel the energy when we visit and most importantly, see that our daughter is thriving and making the most of so many tremendous options available to UCLA students. During our first experience attending Bruin Family Weekend in 2021 we saw firsthand UCLA’s dedication to bringing families together and making the university inclusive and accessible to families regardless of their educational background. The programs offer something for everyone whether your interest is delving into groundbreaking research, exploring study abroad opportunities, or discovering the multitude of resources available to students. Bruin Family Weekend is a can’t-miss opportunity to foster connections within the broader Bruin Community and embrace the special bond we all share in supporting our students throughout their journey at UCLA.”
